ClassDojo

Waverley uses ClassDojo as our primary means of daily communication with parents and carers.

Teachers will use the messaging platform to update you about your child's day and may send photos and videos to showcase their activities each week. Please read the messages you receive each day when your child returns home from school. You can access these messages through the free ClassDojo app, which your child's class teacher will assist you in setting up. The app allows messages to be translated into over 190 languages. In addition, you can type a reply in your home language and it will be translated for the teacher.

In addition to the daily messages from the class teacher, your child's Head of Department will share information relevant to your child's department and upcoming events (such as sports day) and may include end-of-term updates. Senior leaders regularly post details of upcoming events, newsletters, letters, and other important information (i.e. information from public health, school closures etc). The care coordinator could share health or social care information, and health and therapy teams also have access to ClassDojo to communicate about your child's health and therapy needs.

It is essential to regularly check your messages and view your child's portfolio, where teachers can share photos and videos of their work and progress.

Please use the messaging feature to inform the class of any relevant news, important information about your child, or to share experiences, photos, and videos of their achievements at home.

We look forward to staying connected with you!
