Welcome to Waverley School. As the Headteacher, I am both proud and excited to share the vibrant and nurturing learning environment we have cultivated here at Waverley, where every child is encouraged to explore, grow, and thrive.

At our school, we believe that education is more than just a series of lessons; it is a journey of discovery. With a highly dedicated team of teachers and support staff, we build meaningful relationships with every child and young person to develop a deep understanding of our students, their motivators and their interests. This allows us to provide fun and engaging learning environments and opportunities where students are able to embed their learning in a range of ways and situations.

We have developed bespoke curricula, all of which are engaging, aspirational and tailored to the diverse and individual needs of our learners. Collectively they build on the skills and knowledge of each individual student and by carefully observing and assessing progress we are able to recognise what the barriers to learning are and we work collectively to overcome them.

At Waverley, we see every minute as a learning opportunity and we strive to create environments that develop curiosity and a sense of wonder. We are dedicated to fostering an atmosphere where every student feels valued and inspired to achieve their best. Our students make us proud everyday and we celebrate their achievements, no matter how big or small.

Our outstanding effectiveness is reflected not only in each student’s individual achievements but also in the strong relationships we build within our school and our local community. We value open communication and collaboration with parents, carers, other professionals, local organisations and local schools, recognising that education is a partnership. Together, we nurture well-rounded individuals who have a strong sense of belonging, who feel valued and are equipped to contribute positively to the wider world, becoming active and well respected members of their local community.
